Instacart and Third Eye Blind Host One-Night-Only NYC Immersive Concert Experience

Press play on 1999 with Instacart – complete with iconic sights, sounds, and snacks from the 90s
Here’s the 411: after a long summer spent throwing it back to '99, we’re ending summer with a banger with help from some very special guests. On Thursday, September 4, Instacart is hosting a free, first-come, first-served concert with Third Eye Blind at Terminal 5 in New York City straight from their 2025 summer festival run.
The one-night-only event brings the vibrant, playful spirit of 1999 to life – with big energy, immersive activations, and all the throwback charm. Third Eye Blind will hit the stage for a performance straight out of ’99, performing a full set, including their late 90s hit Semi-Charmed Life, which also served as the soundtrack to Instacart’s summer campaign this year.

Before the music kicks off, guests will step through a hazy, neon-lit ‘99-core entry tunnel and into a fully immersive space – complete with snacks and drinks inspired by some of the decade’s most beloved brands.
“Adults are craving the carefree summers of their youth, and Instacart has helped bring those vibes home,” said Laura Jones, Chief Marketing Officer at Instacart. “With our ‘Summer Like It’s 1999’ campaign, we delivered the snacks, sights, and prices of the 90s – all in one cart. Now, we’re ending the season with an immersive, one-night-only concert with Third Eye Blind, bringing the campaign to life and celebrating the best of our favorite summertime pastimes.”
A Blast From The Past
From the moment fans step inside Terminal 5, they’ll be leaving 2025 behind. Every inch of the space has been reimagined to capture the spirit of 1999, with sights, sounds, and experiences designed to transport you back to a time when everything was a little more analog and a lot more carefree.
Whether you regularly frosted your tips or donned butterfly clips, hung around the mall, or busted a move with Slice Healthy Soda in hand, this night is designed to bring it all rushing back. Here’s how we’re cranking up the 1999 vibes:
- Sip Like It’s 1999: We’re pouring 1999 era cocktails with the electric colors, big flavors, and just-sweet-enough kick that defined the time. Served chilled, mixed loud, and made to keep the night going.
- Rewind Your Style: Give yourself a ’99-style makeover and get your tips frosted by professional stylists, courtesy of Frosted Flakes. Not into getting frosty? Throw on some flair with butterfly clips and enough hair gel to defy gravity.
- Chillax with Slice: Grab a Slice Healthy Soda and kick back in the Slice Lounge – complete with bean bags and vintage Third Eye Blind CDs and posters. Then step into a Slice can-lined fisheye video booth where a warped lens captures your ‘99-style moment of fame. Total throwback energy, no filter needed.
- Munchies to the Max: Grab complimentary ‘99 snacks from a lineup of iconic brands, including Frosted Flakes, Slice Healthy Soda, Capri Sun, Lunchables, Mike and Ike, Ring Pop, Dunkaroos, and more. Whether sweet, salty, tangy, or refreshing these are the flavors that defined a decade – and they’re making a comeback tonight.
- Catch The Vibe: Stroll through the space and discover live airbrush artists customizing tees and tote bags just for the show – exclusively for Instacart+ members. Then explore other ’99-style activations designed to transport you straight back to the pre-Y2K era.
- The Merch of Your ‘99 Dreams: Check out the Mr. Throwback NYC booth – a curated collection of ’99-style fashion pieces, featuring bold graphics and era-specific fits, brought to you by Venmo. Then stop by the Third Eye Blind merch booth to shop official band gear, including exclusive items available only at the show.
No Fees, No Fuss – Just a Concert Like It Used to Be
