That’s why we’re excited to introduce the fully upgraded Carrot Academy — a new, completely refreshed learning platform designed to help shoppers master their skills, unlock new opportunities, and achieve success. Starting today, the upgraded Carrot Academy makes learning easier, more personalized, and fully integrated within the Instacart Shopper app, so shoppers can grow their skills whenever — and wherever — they want.

Enhanced Learning for Shoppers

The updated Carrot Academy introduces key new features, including:

  • Fresh, Relevant Content: Carrot Academy now offers 40+ redesigned optional lessons and brand-new multimedia content, including videos made by fellow shoppers, animated content, and micro-lessons. Designed for all kinds of learners at every stage of the Instacart shopper journey, these optional lessons help shoppers improve on key subjects like boosting their shopping quality score, refining their shopping accuracy, and delivering with quality. Whatever a shopper’s preferred style — and however they’re looking to learn and improve — there’s a lesson for them.
  • Personalized Learning for Everyone: The all-new “For You” page will curate optional lessons based on shoppers’ unique experience, such as total batches shopped, location, and more. This means no two learning paths look the same — shoppers will receive recommendations tailored specifically to their experience and growth areas.
  • Seamless Access: Shoppers can now use Single Sign-On (SSO) to access optional lessons directly within the Instacart Shopper app, without needing to remember a separate password or navigate to external platforms. Lessons and content can also be reached through in-app inbox, emails, or the “Your Stats” section of the Shopper app, allowing for quicker and more streamlined access to educational materials.
  • Mobile-Centric Design: With lessons now fully embedded in the app, Carrot Academy provides an intuitive user interface designed for on-the-go learning. This lets shoppers keep an eye on batch notifications or other in-app updates while they take lessons, making it the perfect activity while waiting for their next batch.
