We’re excited to announce a new Shopper Rewards Card powered by Branch to reward and thank shoppers for delivering shopping excellence with greater savings. With Shopper Rewards Card-only perks, you can save on Instant Cashout fees, get cash back on gas, and much more.

Auto-payouts after every batch

With auto-payout enabled, your earnings can be directly deposited after every batch into your Shopper Rewards account for free, so that you get paid quickly at no cost! Shoppers with the card will continue to have the option of Instant Cashouts to another account or weekly direct deposits to get paid. If you choose to be paid into a different account, the Instant Cashout fee will be $1.50 to deposit earnings into any bank account you choose when you need to.³ Weekly direct deposits to your bank account will still be free. 

Savings on gas, which add up

When you pay for gas at the pump with the Shopper Rewards Card, you can get 1-3% cash back at any station.⁴ The higher your Cart Star status, the more cash back you can earn. With additional Mastercard-exclusive gas savings, shoppers can save a total of 2-4% in cash back at select stations.⁵  This is in addition to the savings you can earn with Cart Star through Upside!

With the Shopper Rewards Card, you can get 1-3% cash back on EV charging based on your Cart Star status.⁴ 

You’ll also save on ATM withdrawal fees when getting cash at over 55,000 in-network Allpoint ATMs on your first 8 withdrawals each month.⁶

How it will work

When sign-ups open up for the card, you can apply in the Shopper app. Once approved, you can manage your earnings directly in the Instacart Shopper Rewards app.

The new Shopper Rewards Card powered by Branch will be available for US Shoppers in two phases starting in October 2025 and then April 2026 closely following when the new Cart Star rewards are available. The Instant Cashout fee will be updated after the Shopper Rewards Card becomes available to you. We’ll let you know when you can apply!

1. Branch is not a bank. Banking services are provided by Lead Bank, Member FDIC. FDIC insurance only applies for eligible accounts should the bank holding your funds fail. The Instacart Shopper Rewards Card powered by Branch will be a Mastercard business debit card issued by Lead Bank, pursuant to a license from Mastercard and may be used everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted.
2. Instacart will not be responsible for the products and/or services offered by third parties, or for the terms and conditions (including financial terms) under which those products and/or services are offered.
3. Most cashouts take a few minutes, but some may be subject to delays. Instacart may elect to charge a fee for Shopper Rewards Card payouts at any time, subject to notice.
4. Cash back on eligible gas purchases at the pump using the Shopper Rewards Card as payment method. Must select Credit or Bypass PIN to receive cash back for qualifying purchases. Selecting Debit or entering your PIN number will disqualify your purchase from earning cash back. Must pay at pump; in-store transactions may not be eligible. Base Cash back benefit is 3% for gas purchases and EV charging for Diamond Cart shoppers, and 1% for all other shoppers. Total cash back limited to $100 per month. Card benefits are subject to meeting eligibility criteria, which may include your Cart Star status, Instacart shopper account standing, and maintaining a Shopper Rewards Card account. Card benefits may be subject to change. Instacart or Branch may terminate, suspend or modify the rewards program, in whole or in part, at any time upon notice to you, subject to applicable law.
5. You may have the option to earn additional cash back on eligible gas purchases with your Shopper Rewards Card at merchants who are part of the Branch x Mastercard Easy Savings program. Mastercard Easy Savings may not be available in all locations. For more information, visit Branch’s website.
6. Your first 8 ATM transactions per month at ATMs in the Allpoint Network are free. After that, a $3.50 fee will apply to Allpoint ATM transactions until the next month. All withdrawals from ATM’s outside the Allpoint Network will be subject to fees established by the ATM owner.
